Why every write takes a key, and what happens when a retry arrives.
Document-creating requests accept an idempotency key. A retry with the same key returns the original result instead of creating a second document — which matters more in accounting than almost anywhere else.
Retry with the same key on a network failure or a 5xx. A 4xx means the request itself needs changing, and retrying it unchanged will fail identically.
Create a workspace, import a chart of accounts and post a document. The ledger underneath is the same one that will carry you at ten times the size.
